Semaphor light t5 change voltage
Total harmonic distortion (THD) - A measure of the degree to which a sinusoidal wave shape is distorted by harmonics, with higher values of THD indicating greater distortion. A rapid-start system starts smoothly, without flashing. Heating the electrodes before starting the lamps reduces the voltage required to strike the electric arc between the electrodes.
Rapid start - A method of starting fluorescent lamps in which the electrodes are heated prior to starting, using a starter that is an integral part of the ballast. The higher the rating, the more noise that will be required to mask the ballast hum. Ratings define the range of ambient sound levels in which people will not notice the ballast noise. Ballasts are rated from “A” to “F” based on their noise levels. Electronic ballasts operate at high frequencies and are usually less noisy. Sound rating - Magnetic ballasts sometimes produce a humming noise caused by vibration of the magnetic core. Sources with CRI values less than 50 are generally regarded as rendering colors poorly, that is, colors may appear unnatural.
For a CRI value of 100, the maximum value, the colors of objects can be expected to be seen as they would appear under an incandescent or daylight spectrum of the same correlated color temperature (CCT). Ballast factor depends on both the ballast and the lamp type a single ballast can have several ballast factors depending on lamp type.Ĭolor rendering index (CRI) - A rating index commonly used to represent how well a light source renders the colors of objects that it illuminates. Ballast - A device required by electric-discharge light sources such as fluorescent or HID lamps to regulate voltage and current supplied to the lamp during start and throughout operation.īallast factor (BF) - The ratio of the light output of a fluorescent lamp or lamps operated on a ballast to the light output of the lamp(s) operated on a standard (reference) ballast.
